What moving actually involves
You do not hand over a login to your old system. You hand over a file, and you keep the old system until the new record matches.
Export from the current system
- A file the school makes itself, from the system it uses today.
- A spreadsheet works the same way as an export.
- RunMyCampus never signs in to the other system.
Imports it through Migration Cloud
- Uses an export connector where one exists, otherwise the canonical CSV.
- Rows that do not fit are held, not guessed.
- A person reviews held rows before they land.
Keep the old system read-only
- Compare the two records side by side.
- Retire the old system only when the record matches.

How long does migration take?
It depends on how much data you have and how clean the export is. Ask for a scoped plan on a call; we do not publish a standard timeline.
Can we keep our existing data?
Yes, whatever the old system can export. Rows that do not fit are held for a person to review rather than guessed.
What if we need to leave the platform?
